Philanthropy Events

The Kentucky Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi prides itself on service to our community, both local and at large. From serving in the community to philanthropic fundraisers, we strive to maintain and promote our core value of philanthropic service to others through helping our community. As a service-minded organization, Pi Beta Phi holds several philanthropy events throughout the year.

Putt Putt with Pi Phi

This past fall, we hosted our third annual Putt Putt with Pi Phi at the Renaissance Fun Park. We raised over $3,000 by selling raffle tickets, "Pie a Pi Phi," and selling tickets to Putt Putt.

Wings of an Angel

Our second annual Wings of an Angel event was our spring semester philanthropy event.At the event, guests could sample wings and watch (and participate in) a wing-eating competition. We look forward to next year's event!

University/Greek Life Philanthropies

In addition to dedicating our time and

money to the Pi Beta Phi

Foundation, we also participate

in university-wide and Greek

philanthropy events, including the 18-hour

dance marathon, RaiseRED.

This past year, we had one Pi Phi chosen to be on the Executive Board for the University of Louisville RaiseRED, which raised over $150,000 for Kosair Children’s Hospital. We also had many sisters stay the entire night dancing to help raise money!

Many Pi Phis participated in Relay for Life, where they stayed up all night raising money for the American Cancer Society. We also had two Pi Phis serve on the 2013-2014 Executive Board and one Pi Phi serving as the 2013-2014 Director of Colleges Against Cancer at U of L. This year, Relay for Life raised over $22,000!

Our beautiful sister, Christina Criniti, did an outstanding job in Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Miss Minerva Pageant, which SAE holds to help raise money for their philanthropy.
